A visit to Washington State

Debbie and I decided to bring Seth to Washington State this week to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cress and to meet his Great-Grandmother Daugaard.

The plane ride yesterday went as well as could be expected. Seth handled the early morning and unusual schedule with his usual take it as it comes attitude. Last night things got a little rough because he was completely exhausted; he melted down totally at about 9 pm. Today he is much better and is having a good time with Grandma and Mom.

I am going out wine tasting this afternoon with Grandpa.

Off to Church

Tomorrow, Debbie an I are going to see the new Star Wars Movie, so we have decided to go to church this evening. I think we will go to an early matinee, so as to avaoid a big crowd if possible.

Seth will get a chance to stay with Grandma and Granpa for a couple of hours. That should be fun for all of them.

Ranger Cookies

We've discovered a new cookie! New to us anyway. The ranger cookie. It's an oatmeal/coconut/raisin cookie that is really tasty. These babies won't last long. The recipe came from the Betty Crocker cookbook (I told you it was just new to us).

That's one good lookin' cookie. Click it to make it bigger. Bigger cookies are better!

Seth is trying to get mobile

Seth has begun to take baby steps while we are holding his hands. It will be a while before he walks, but it is exciting to see. He is also making a real effort to crawl. He gets up on his knees and rocks. So far he hasn't figured out how to get his arms and legs going. It won't be long.

Back from Raleigh

Debbie and Seth went to Raleigh with me this week. Debbie wanted to visit the Bitners and, since my meetings were on Thursday and Friday, it was a convenient time. Seth did really well with the travelling.

Stolen Air Bags - The Damage

Well, a week and a half later we have the red Honda back in the driveway, complete with new air bags. The total bill was almost $2,000. Our insurance will cover most of the cost, but that's still a lot of money changing hands. The body shop made out pretty well.
