Parque Natural Metropolitano

Today I went for a hike in the Parque Natural Metropolitano in Panama city. It is a great example of a tropical dry forest; about 655 acres worth. I hiked the El Roble, La Cienaguita, and Mono Titi trails. At the top of the hill, which is about 500 feet high, there are a couple of great views of the city and the entrance to the Panama Canal.

This is a Bat Falcon that I saw sitting on a concrete wall right along the path. He was about 5 feet away from me and waited to have his picture taken .

Immediately after I got back to the hotel a big thunderstorm came through and the rain poured down.
