It may still feel like winter outside, but today the Washington Nationals pitchers and catchers report for spring training. I am already excited about baseball.
I still have a warm spot in my heart for the Orioles, and always will, but I am ready to follow the Nationals. I have never really paid much attention to NL teams in the past because I have been an Os fan. So now I guess I have two teams to follow. The Nationals in the NL and the Orioles in the AL.

The Washington Nationals will hold their spring training at Spacecoast Stadium in Viera, Florida. Washington's 2005 Grapefruit League schedule begins on Thursday, March 2, at home against the Mets. Other highlights of the 17-game home slate include a pair of visits by the Baltimore Orioles (Sunday, March 13 and Friday, March 25) and two evening contests (7:05 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 vs. Los Angeles and Tuesday, March 29 vs. New York-NL).
Road games of note include a Saturday, March 5 contest in Ft. Lauderdale against the Orioles and a 7:05 pm contest on Wednesday, March 16 at Disney against the National League East-champion Braves. Washington wraps up its '05 Grapefruit League schedule on Saturday, April 2 at Tropicana Field against Tampa Bay. The April 2 spring finale marks the Nationals' lone visit to Florida's Gulf Coast.
