Holy Saturday
Holy Saturday is always a bit of a strange day. Stuck between Good Friday and Easter Sunday it is a day of waiting and filling time. In the church the sanctuary candle is unlit and the tabernacle is open to show that, on this day, Jesus was not with us on earth. The statues are covered in mourning until the Easter Vigil this evening when the resurrection is celebrated. Tomorrow all will be right in the world again, but today, we wait.
